Mitchka Herard is an up and coming writer and filmmaker from Boston, MA. She graduated UMass Boston in 2018 with a degree in English. It is her goal as a writer to transport people to the worlds she creates as a means for them to escape the struggles of everyday life. Growing up, she found it difficult to speak her truth and find her voice, but writing has helped her do so. She believes that readers and viewers alike will relate to her work and hopes that it will ultimately help them find their way to self discovery as well. Mitchka enjoys practicing all forms of writing; from poetry to screenwriting, and although she is new to the filmmaking industry, she wants to use her passion to become as educated and skilled as she can in the field.
